Please bring along the required documents during your visit to our Customer Service Centre at PWC Building, Toa Payoh or Woodlands. Termination of Utilities Supply Forms are available at our customer service counters.

For terminations submitted via Fax or Mail, please allow a minimum of 4 business days for your termination request to be processed.

Important points to note

a) Termination of Gas Supply
For termination of gas supply, City Gas charges a termination fee of $53.50 (inclusive of GST) for non-residential premises. Separate gas appliance disconnection fee is charged if required.

b) Refund of Security Deposit

Upon closing of account, we will process your final bill and arrange for any credit balance to be refunded to you. You should receive your final bill and refund, if any, within a month.

c) GIRO
If your account is under GIRO, the GIRO arrangement will be terminated after we have deducted the final charges from your GIRO bank account.

d) Meter Removal (Applicable only to JTC/HDB Industrial Premises)
After the electricity supply at your premises is cut-off by the technician, please call our Electrical Meters Section hotline at 1800-278 2778 to arrange for the removal of meters. You may be liable for the recovery cost of these meters if the meters are not returned.

e) Express service

Express termination required on the same day can be arranged, subject to availability of appointment and at least 3 hours advance notice is required. An express service charge of $64.20 (inclusive of GST) is applicable on working weekdays/ Saturdays.

 

We regret that express service is not available for premises with:

  • Electricity supply capacity exceeding 45kVA and/or
  • Water meters exceeding 15mm and/or
  • Commercial Gas.
f) Contestable Accounts
For customers with contestable accounts (account numbers starting with "930"), please download the account closure form here
