Residential Account under Personal Name                      back to top

You can apply to open a residential utilities account under your personal name through our hotline 1800-2222 333, by fax/ mail, by submitting an online application, by SMS, or visit us at our Customer Service Centre in Somerset or Toa Payoh.

The required documents are

Proof of ownership/tenancy agreement is required only upon our request.

The National Environment Agency has appointed Colex Holdings Ltd, SembWaste Pte Ltd, Veolia ES Singapore Pte Ltd and 800 Super Waste Management Ptd Ltd as refuse collectors for different geographical locations in Singapore. Charges vary depending on the type of business and the geographical location.

  • You must be 21 years of age to be eligible for opening of your utility account. If you are less than 21 years of age, please arrange for your guarantor to open the utility account.

  • For gas turn-on, please call City Gas at 1800-5551661 for an appointment after receiving our email confirmation on the account opening.

  • Express turn-on required on the same day can be arranged. An express service charge of $50 is applicable on working weekdays/ Saturdays. This service is subject to availability of appointment and at least 3 hours' advance notice is required.

  • We regret that express service is not available for premises with:
    • Electricity supply capacity exceeding 45KVA and/or
    • Water meters exceeding 15MM and/or
    • Commercial Gas and/or
    • Premises where meters are not on site

You can apply to open a residential utilities account under your company name by fax/ mail, or visit us at our customer service centres.

The required documents are

  • Completed and signed application form (download the application form)
  • Copy of the business/ company registration certificate
  • Copy of NRIC/ Work Pass for the authorized signatory of company representative Or a letter of authorisation issued by the company indicating the company representative's name and NRIC/ Work Pass FIN no.

Proof of ownership/ tenancy agreement is required only upon our request.

  • Documentary proof of occupation of premises, e.g.: Tenancy Agreement and property tax
  • An initial security deposit is payable at the point of application
  • Copy of Licence Electrical Installation (LEI) from Energy Market Authority (EMA), if the electricity load is above 45 KVA
